SUPER FURRY IANY

Shot for Prudence again today. Fun shoot actually. Ian went off to Interview Gruff from Super Furry Animals today at the Morrison Hotel, because Una couldn't make it (workies) I heard some of the tape he sounded brilliant and so professional I'm so proud. I think he also enjoyed it. Battery of dictaphone died mid interview which is crap but he was able to write out everything he remembered. Well Done Iany !!!!

Good Day.

Got the pdf of the layout from Totally Dublin. It's looking good. I would have chosen a different shot for the cover but I'm sure it will look ok. Can't wait to see it in print. Think it's out next week. Did some shots at LAMakeup Academy. Some interesting shots there. Here's one.

It's such a small industry. Robert Doyle came in after me to take photos of the student shots. I did work experience with him and Mark a few years ago. I shot my first ever model while I was with them. madness.

Shooting for Prudence again tomorrow. Didn't exactly catch what the shoot was about. Something about make overs. Dunno. Will find out tomorrow.

Iany is doing a Super Furry Animals interview that Una can't make it for, for Alternative Ulster. Was gonna go up and take some photos but now I don't know if I can make it. Interview is at 5.30- dunno till when I'll be with Prudence.

I suck at writing

and Una describes last nite perfectly:

Last night, Lili and I didn't know what to do. The highlights from Oxegen were on MTV, we had a case of Heineken and Big Brother to watch, little money and tiredness. But we decided, fuck it, lets go out. We ended up in a pub we didn't want to be in before wandering back to Temple Bar and stubbling upon some weird outdoor Flemish movie where everybody kept bitching about someone called "madame Babbette" we left because of liquid gold laughs. What happened next was a few hours sitting on a path in Temple Bar realising why some people like Dublin. There were a few people drumming, some amazing dancers and people just hanging out and spontaneously getting up to dance. After a long while, it turned into a full on cobblestoned disco, and stopping for the police to drive through, or for a few giant drops of rain, didn't halt it. We left a while later feeling as if something had happened. It was better than becoming couch digest. (from Una's Blog)

Madness

Shot some Hard Working Class Heroes for Totally Dublin today. Crazeeee shoot. We had 8 people in one shot and 10 people in the other. they are each going on a double page spread. and three lads for the cover. (Neosupervital being one of them! RAWK!) Had the guys totally beating each other up it was hillarious. V. Nervous about picking up the slides tomorrow incase I fucked everything up lighting wise. (I don't think I have but I always expect the worse).
Here's Con posing for my lighting test. PS// I booked LONDON to see Jess YAY !! Going on August 19th for the weekend with Iany also. Me and Jess are gonna do an awesome shoot including lots of very huge sweeties (A la Vogue July issue with Lily Cole) Can't wait!!

Sarah

i want a WIDE angle lens please.

was trying to get an Electric Six style photo. So didn't work. So here's this.

Una, Sarah, Gus & Corinna

This was after the show.. Sarah was distracted by some dude who was just walking up the stairs as we were going to take the photos. Funniest thing was Sarah telling me and Una that they were waiting for the Alternative Ulster people, not realising that it was actually us.

This is Miss Mullally interviewing The Magic Numbers

Una and Di just before their interview with Oli. Here's a quote from Una's blog // Did a small interview with Turn, to Lili's amazement. "You came all the way here to interview Ollie? Just sit outside fucking Ba Mizu for five minutes and do it."
(this is because we see him sitting outside Ba Mizu every single day)

Audioslave

Chris Cornell- The most beautiful man in the whole world (droool) I almost forgot how to take photos when he came on stage..

Kasabian totally rocked out. Stayed for their whole set with Una. Found it hard to take photos because I just wanted to dance

The Bravery

At the Ticket stage

Caught Sam backstage straight after their set when I was walking from the ticket stage to the main stage.

Kaiser Chiefs rocked !

It seems to be the trend that if you want to be in a cool band, you must do some random crazy jumps during your songs.

OXEGEN FUN ! !

Recovering from Oxegen today.. lots of photos to come. This is Paul from Maximo Park- my favourite band of all times (at the moment) and my highlight of Oxegen. Extremely pleased as I also got to see them play a live acoustic set in the MTV tent which was at the Press Area. Bumped into Paul straight after their acoustic set and asked him for a photo for the Oxegen site (but it was actually for me really..) He was too lovely.

This weekend, other than Maximo Park, I shot: The Killers, Kasabian, Green Day, Kaiser Chiefs, Snoop Dog, Audioslave, The Bravery, The Prodigy, Razorlight, Brendon Benson, Queens of the Stone Age, Angels of Mons, Brother J, foo Fighters, The Frames (zzzzz...), Ian Brown, James Brown, Red Organ Serpent Sound, Feeder, The Streets, Fightstar, Josh Ritter and Magic Numbers. (I perhaps also forgot a few?!) I've now got about 8billion photos to go through so I will be uploading them asap.
