Yippy it's Friday

Even though I am working tomorrow only at 1pm and work is funsies anyway. I'm up early today for a shoot in Enniskery. Had a bit of a dramatic morning regarding shoot details but now all is sorted, taxi is cancelled and I am waiting on my lift (the gorgeous Baiba from Assets) to our shoot location which is actually the clients house. It's my third year shooting for this client (I must be doing something right..) and he has an amazing huge house so it should be good. Especially working with Baiba makes everything so easy as she is such a pro.

I am shooting models today

Every once in a while I sit back and think how amazing my job is. I wake up, and I am in work. I don't have to sit in traffic for hours. and I don't have to drive home after work. I spend most of my days surrounded by hot chicks (which isn't always great for the whole feeling beatiful thing..) and I get paid to take photees. What else could you ask for.

I first shot Laura last year for my ArtDublin project and thought she was sooo beautiful. Pitty she doesn't live in Dublin as she would be getting so much more work.
On a different note, I have had to start putting a watermark on my images now as people have been stealing them (journalists stealing off bebo and publishing them in the papers - whats that about) If you'd like to use my images, please contact me. Otherwise, you are welcome to steal away but don't think you won't be receiving an invoice. I will find out one way or the other.

U Magazine shoot which I shot a few weeks ago at the ice rink in Smithfield. Was very fun. Tried to create a fun young shoot this time, rather than anything too high fashion. Am very happy with it. Thank god the girls could ice skate.. They were great on the ice! well done! We went skating ourselves after... We only lasted 10 mins on the ice.. we were extrememly tired after a long days's shoot (is our excuse) oh, and the skates really hurt.

Felicia

I shot Felicia's portfolio recently. It was her first ever shoot. I was so impressed with her, I booked her for a magazine shoot the following week. She is so beautiful and has such a natural lovely smile. As well as that, she gives it that extra something which some models don't, or are afraid to give... or are too shy. She brings her personality into the shoot and that really shows. Even a new model cannot expect to be directed by me completely. She needs to bring some of herself into the shoot and try different things even though she doesn't really know what she's doing. How are you meant to improve if you don't try? Check out Felicia's first ever magazine shoot in a shop near you in January.

last time I shot Beatrice she went for a real cutsie girl next door look. This time she went for a much stronger sexier look which really suits her. Models have to update their model card (zedcard) basically every season and so reinventing yourself with a new look is important - and quite difficult too. Finding outfits which aren't the same as everyone else's and new ideas for poses..
