Kate Moss collection launched

Frenzied fashion fans gathered outside Topshop on Oxford Street as Kate Moss's fashion collection hit the high street retailer's flagship store.
The crowd frantically took pictures on mobile phones and cameras during the brief show as the supermodel posed alongside mannequins in the shop window for around 10 seconds dressed in a long red dress worn with a belt.

A few minutes later the model enjoyed a glass of champagne inside the store and chatted to Sir Philip Green, billionaire boss of Arcadia Group, of which Topshop is a part.

Sir Philip walked Kate towards the collection as the first batch of 150 shoppers rushed in for their 20 minutes viewing.

Describing the launch, Sir Philip said: "It is exciting. It wouldn't be here if we didn't believe in it. This is about building a business. This is about whether we can build something that is real."

Commenting on Kate's designs, he said: "Her style is different."

Each batch of 150 shoppers was allowed to browse for 20 minutes after which they could buy up to five different items. A £45 floral pansy print dress was one of the most popular items.

Customers were allowed to try on a maximum of eight items and buy five to discourage shoppers selling on eBay.

WAAAAAH! WESTLIFE!!!

Last week after a crazeee busy day I gathered my last energies to go shoot Westlife in The Point during one of their 12 nights there. I was never a massive fan or anything- but now I am! They were BRILLIANT ! I could completely understand why all the girls were going mad (JAYSUS it was loud!) The guys were so very charming (and hot!). Here are some photees.

i luv CSS

the weekend started Thursday really when me and Corina Gaffeygaff went over to Agatha Stoinska's launch of her new studio which was loads of fun. Ended up going out afterwards with the lovely makeup artist Ellie from Morgan and her mate which I forgot the name of. oopsie) and just went to all the lovely hot spots on Hartcourt Street (including Crystal and Coppers- what were we thinking)
On Friday just went for tapas in town (which were shit) and then got some dvds and chilled. Watched "Wolf Creek" which so wasn't as scary as Una said it would be so I was a bit disapointed. Also watched "Pledge this" which was so crap but also amazing because Paris Hilton is in it and she's hot. Saturday I met up with Co and we went to the launch of the Loft Market in Powerscourt which was great.
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
Bumped into many familiar faces like fab Jewelerry designer Jennifer Kinnear who will soon be launching her new website with my photees and stylist Aisling Farinella who runs the The Loft. Also met loads of people which I know from the world of the interweb like Arsheen from Dublin based fashion blog FashionFilosofy who was there snapping away and stylist and designer Ciara O'Donovan who has her own label in the Loft.
Then on our way out, I was just telling Corina how slippy the stairs were when an elderly lady behind us slipped and hurt her ankle. Poor thing. We waited around for the ambulance with her and then went for foodsies in Cafe Irie.
Later on that evening we did flyers for the CSS aftershow party outside the Ambassador and randomly ended up with 3 free tickets to the show which was completely sold out. YAYSIES.

I had never seen them before so I was really excited, and omg they were BRILLIANT! The amount of energy on stage was unbelievable!
We then headed to the CSS aftershow party where they were doing a DJ set which was loads and loads of fun.

Joanna Newsom at The Olympia

Got asked to take pics of Joanna Newsom at the Olympia on Saturday night. Joanna is awesome. She has a big massiv harp and the coolest voice. If you're into crazy folky lovely intense music (can't really think of other ways to describe it) then do check her out. I was gonna link to her myspace, but I can only find one where she has 12 friends so I doubt that's her real one, considering she sold out the Olympia on Saturday?!

Urban Outfitters Good Friday bash etc.

The Urban Outfitters Good Friday Bash was very much the funsies! We could see the big massif que from Corina's window but we thought fuck it, lets head down anyway. Thankfully we didn't need to que at the end thanks to the delightful media list. At the start it wasn't too jammers. The only packed section was infront of the drinks mixing lady. So we got ourselves two drinkies each (the drink was vodka mixed with flavoured vodka eeeek!) It then got pretty packed. Great atmosphere I might add. Bumped into many a heads such as model Vogue, stylist Dave Brittain, photographer/artist Johnny McMillan (who I'd never met before so that was nice) and Darragh from Codes. Then, goodybags a plenty (full with fantastic stuff such as a sky diving monkey, slinky, novelty mugs, lipgloss, hats and bling chains) we went back to Corina's before heading to Izzy's party in her new sexy fancy gaff.

worst day ever

my camera is sick :-(
and she decided to get sick in the middle of a shoot meaning I had to send everyone home as I don't have my spare. It seriously sucked. But thankfully my team was very understanding and didn't think (well I hope not) that I am the biggest loser ever. Anyway, I bought a new spare now (D200) and on Wednesday I get to bring my D2X to camera hospital (Conn's cameras) where a camera doctor comes to pick her up and fix her. I hope she gets well soon. Apperantly the shutter is bwoken.

it all started so well.....

good weekend

After I finished work on Friday. I ended up staying in and just did some work and caught up with things.. Not with The Things in The Hub which I missed. As well as Killian's gig which I also missed (again!). Perhaps it was a good thing as I had to work early the next morn. On Saturday I tried to watch Harry Potter for the first time but ended up falling asleept after 20 mins. In the middle of it I appearantly opened my eyes and said" this is the best film ever!" and passed out again. Later that night we headed to the Music Centre to check out the Scratch Perverts which were awesome! I esp loved the Dynasty visuals. Blake Carrington rocks! half the set was hiphop, the other half drum and bass, which was fun as usual. So we just ended up messing backstage and running back and forth to the stage to check out the guys. funsies. Can anyone tell me how they would best photograph DJs? It's so different than usual live music photography because most of the time the light is so blah. and there is so much smoke. and they just kinda stand there.. and its extremely hard not to make it look like the boringest photo ever. dot com.
