Iany's birthday celebrations

present were: me, Iany, Burco, Killian, Mullally, Ed, Eamo, Gar, random German Girl who started following us after Handels, 2blokes and girl who came up to the gaff for an apres pub session.

i'm not quite sure what is going on here.

I found this photee very artistic at the time.

this is what the series looks like at the moment. reshooting Burco with piggy next week and hopefully get rabbit done with Rachael from Assets as I think she would be perfect for it. She looks slightly insane/dead/anorexic/weird/pretty. it all makes sense in my head.

the rose shot. am not completely happy with it and will probably re-do it at some stage.

hanging out after my test with Dom. on Monday. Or was it Tuesday? Can't remember. We had the funs. It all ended when Iany passed out on the floor and started snoring REALLY loud.

Prudence came back !

Last two days have been good. Bit of a session after my test with Dominique (photees to follow- had no time to even look at them yet) Had a fantastic meeting with Derek (Assets boss) who basically told me I was very brilliant and will start paying me after a few more tests. And today, after I completely gave up on Prudence, got a call from Alanna who gave me a studio shoot for the next issue instead of the festival shoot which they want to shoot on slide. Very happy with this.

Iany's birthday today (happy birthday baby!) Got him a sexy black acoustic guitar which he loves.

put this series up on foto_decadent and got some lovely comments. my confidence is a bit low after the whole Prudence thing, so at least I know my pictures aren't crap.

just one of Nico from earlier on.. took me about 8billion hours to retouch it and it still looks like shit. I think I'll reshoot this in the studio with proper lighting with someone from Assets.

Smedias 2005 Provisional Shortlist
This shortlist is provisional as we are still waiting on some judges to get back to us. Being big wheels on the Irish media scene means they tend to be pretty busy. But don't worry, the final shortlist will be published here real soon. And you'll have plenty of time to get ready for the ceremony on the 20th April. what do they remind me of....
hey you know they look kind of alice in wonderland to me.....well childish in some way or something....very interesting images.

yes, alice in wonderland comes to mind... is that a picture of alice liddell around her neck in the second photo? and the queen of hearts in the first one, of course :)i'm doing a project on contemporary representations of alice (especially in fashion) right now actually, and it would be enormously helpful if you would let me know where those images came from/who the photographer was/etc. thank you so much.
